Dear Kathy,
After some pretty cold weather here in the Deep South, it is finally getting to be that time that we can take our pets out for long walks without those pleading eyes looking at us, saying, “You would not got out in this mess without shoes on your feet, would you?” And we answer NO, and say YES to booties and slippers for our pets. Check out some of our styles – and know that we can order different sizes for you.

- SPRING CLOTHES FOR THE KIDS! We have polo shirts, Hawaiian shirts, sun-dresses and more for your precious babies. If we do not have your size, we can order most items in other sizes.
- PET STROLLERS are becoming all the rage for your small pets. We have them in pink, blue, plaid, orange and pistachio. Hurry up, and don’t wait to get one so you can enjoy the fine weather coming up!
- PET PATTIES – The original meat diet since 1975. We are carrying a freeze-dried product for your cats and dogs in both patties and in nibbles-treats. Come in and get a sample. We are confident that your pets are going to enjoy this new food. The shelf-life is much longer than other foods, and easy to transport.
- COLLARS, COLLARS, COLLARS – So many sizes to choose. We offer everything from fine leather to wild fabric colors, beautiful hand-made martingales and, of course, BLING!
- Does Your Pet Need A New Bed? We have something for everyone, including beds in the shape of slippers and crowns!
- CAT FURNITURE – We promise you will not have to sell your first-born to purchase this furniture. We have 2-3 styles to choose from, and they can be made to your specifications and shipped directly to your home. Come in and see all the toys, beds and furniture for our fuzzy friends.
- CALLIGRAPHY ART – We are fortunate to have the fantastic work of Laura Leiden, a noted calligrapher from Watkinsville, GA. Come see these fine hand-lettered, matted sentiments written to our sweet cats and dogs. You will want to get one for a friend, and keep one for yourself.
- Looking For Interesting Jewelry? A local artist, Anne King, is making brooches and pendants from goose and duck eggs. At the present time we have a small selection of generic cats and dogs; however, she can use your pet's picture. Come and see what we have to offer.

Are you aware of SB229 in the Georgia legislature? It amends the Georgia Animal Protection Act to make animal fighting, baiting, gambling, etc. a felony for people engaged in this practice or as a spectator. INTERMEDIATE DOG TRAINING begins May 16th at 7PM at PRECIOUS PETS. Karen Smalley, professional dog trainer, will be conducting the 6-week class. The goal of this class is to challenge dogs on a higher level of concentration and understanding. You will learn how to keep your dog in a stay position while out of sight; listen to you among all kinds of distractions; attention heeling, and more. This course will build on basic obedience training skills that your dog
has already acquired. We welcome dogs trained from any obedience class. Cost: $110.

Our YAPPY HOUR is designed to bring dog and cat lovers together to visit, socialize and get to know each other. It is a great avenue for new people to the community. Please come out and support all these wonderful groups. There are many dogs and cats that are available for adoption. This also gives you a chance to learn about many different breeds, their personalities and traits. PRECIOUS PETS donates a percentage of our sales to the rescue group in our store that day.
